Long Live Summer!

Today was a good day. Reason #1: It is Tuesday, and I happen to love Tuesdays now. During the school year they're hard because you've still got the whole week ahead and the weekend has worn off. I like them for that very same reason now. It feels like summer will never end! (I wish!)

Reason #2: I got to watch J-Cubed (Get it? There's 3 of them. Cubed. Plus, it sound like JCrew, which happens to be my favorite place in the world to shop.)

I couldn't figure out how to work the tv today. Couldn't turn it off, couldn't change the channel, couldn't even change the volume. I think Jade (Jay-DUH, for all of you unrelated folks.) was hoping for some PBS Kids, but all we could get was Michael Jackson's memorial service. I'm not trying to be unkind, but I could think of ten thousand things I care about more than Michael Jackson.

Jade didn't seem to mind though. You can't tell from this picture, but she's dancing to all the songs that were performed. I secretly thought it was funny that she was dancing joyously to Michael Jackson's funeral music, but I'd never say that outloud. ;) And Joshua (Oh, the many choruses of "Joshu, Joshu!" that were heard this morning..) was the happiest baby in the entire world. He hardly fussed at all. Notice there are no pictures of Jacob. He apparently didn't feel like being photographed today.

Reason #3: I drove by our old house on the way home. Twice. Kinda stalker-ish, but the new owners kept our swing set, kept the swings on the swing set, kept our shed, painted the siding, built a fence, and now have some sort of animal that looks more like a polar bear than a dog.
I saw lots of people around the neighborhood that I knew, but I don't think they recognized me. I didn't bother to roll down my window and say hi (That would've been awkward. "Hi, I'm Kelly. I used to live right there. Remember me? No?"), but it was nice to see some of them.
So it was a good day! Long live summer!

Awh, they are cute! Justin texted me and asked if I would babysit for him next Friday, which I for some reason agreed to. (Probably just because there is money involved) But anyway the point of this was to tell you that he has a little girl named Layla that they just adopted from China 2 months ago! She's almot 2.
